Or, for the first time for me, a freight train rounds the bend and makes the shot feel perfect. There's definitely a special kind of thrill in those spontaneous, unplanned moments—whether it's an animal, a person, or even a freight train—that perfectly completes a scene. It’s like the universe gives you a little extra surprise.
This was taken on our first day in Moab, during our epic adventure to find the colorful water that we later learned were the Potash Ponds. Sometimes it’s funny how the adventure ends up being better than the destination—this was one of those times.
